Title: And the ghosts in the attic they never quite leave
Characters/Pairings: Diana/Christie, Neal, Peter
Rating: PG
Word Count: 14,300
Spoilers: Spoilers through 2.10 Burke’s Seven
Warnings: None
Summary: On the limitations of geometry as a guide to moral decision-making, or, the one where Neal and Diana cook dinner together and light things on fire.
Author's Note: Huge thanks to LC, my amazing beta, who is awesome and wonderful and who made this much better than it would have been otherwise! Also thanks to [personal profile] frith_in_thorns and neontiger55 for cheerleading and encouragement! I do not own any of these characters. The title is from Vienna Teng's "Eric's Song".

Art: The gorgeous cover art is by the amazing and talented [livejournal.com profile] love_82 - thank you SO MUCH! :)

Title: Rockets' Red Glare
Author: magistrate ([personal profile] magibrain)
Wordcount: 6500.
Genre: Hurt/comfort, character study; gen with an edge of Diana/Christie
Summary: An accident at the 4th of July fireworks show opens up old wounds. (Or: In which Neal is evasive, Christie is tipsy, and Diana is more prickly than cuddly, but it works out, sort of, in the end.)

"You all right?" Diana asked.

Neal blinked at her, and said, more or less automatically, "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

Diana gave him a look, and she was right: the question did kinda answer itself.

Title: Apocalypse
Author: [personal profile] iamshadow
Fandom: White Collar
Pairings: Gen, canon pairings (Neal/Sara, Elizabeth/Peter)
Rating: G
Word Count: 1,160
Summary: There are moments when a person's true nature, character or intentions shine through, darkly or brightly. An observer or someone self-aware will be able to see these moments in others or in themselves. Here are four moments from Season Four where Neal saw something true that had been hidden below the surface in those around him or in himself.
Content: Friendship, daddy issues, episode/season arc reaction, implied past child abuse/domestic violence (off-screen, non-graphic).
A/N: When I got my [community profile] trope_bingo card I looked at the AU: apocalypse square with a bit of a side-eye, since End of Days fics tend to be brutal and grim and not the kind of thing I can read or write a lot of the time. But then I looked up the actual definition of apocalypse, and found out that the original meaning in ancient Greek was about discovery and finding something hidden, and after finishing up watching Season Four finally, I had some ideas about what I wanted to write. So, rather than a subversion of the End of Days trope, this is a subversion of the actual meaning of the word apocalypse back to the original, and it's not an AU of White Collar canon at all, at least, not until Season Five starts to air and josses it. Word definition thanks to Wikipedia, because that's good enough for me.

The secret, Neal had learned, to making things look effortless was to put in more work than a sane person would ever dream of devoting to a skill. You just had to make sure to put in that work where no one could see you, and Neal had put a lot of work into cultivating the impression that his free time was spent sipping wine and preening on his balcony, rather than pouring sweat and blood into learning the skills that made him appear superhuman.

I'm running a charity meme to benefit the victims of the tornadoes in Oklahoma, and will write fic in exchange for donations to the Red Cross. Three dollars buys you a 100 word drabble. Six dollars buys you either a 200 word drabble, or two 100 word drabbles, your choice. Nine dollars buys you a 300 word drabble, or a 200 word drabble, and a 100 word drabble, or three 100 word drabbles. And so on. I will write as many drabbles as you give money tot he Red Cross. There is no limit to how much you all can get me to write through this meme. I will write for Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra, Harry Potter, or White Collar, and all of my previously established AUs are open.
