Please play nice

Okay, not everyone is full of squee and has the shiny blinkers on when they watch a show. No show's perfect, and White Collar, as fun and new as it is, does have some problems.

Negative comments are just as valid as positive ones, and if you disagree, you can simply scroll down or post your own positive review.

In conclusion, please remain courteous towards each other, even if you disagree.

Should we add a new tag: "squee"?

I personally love critical discussion, and it's one of my main fannish activities. That's why I follow so many meta comms. For me it's a fun, positive experience. It makes me feel very connected to other fans, like, yes, we care about this show, and choose to engage with it. I find it thought-provoking, I find it stimulates my creative impulses to write fic, even vid if I ever learn how, and it generally broadens my horizons and expands my world-view.

Squee doesn't interest me much, and sometimes it can even harsh my meta. Invented example: "Is Neal one of those con men who thinks that the money he gets from his victims is fair payment for the "experience" he sells them?" "IDK, but omg his blue, blue eyes are so pretteeee!" Meta, harshed.

It only makes sense that the squeeful feel that critical discussion harshes their squee. Dreamwidth gives us that awesome, wonderful tag filter - why not put it to good use.

Tag the squee posts with "squee", tag the discussion posts with "discussion", tag both with the relevant episode, character, and actor tags, and we can all have a good experience reading this comm.

Thank you, that's so nice and encouraging to hear! I really appreciate you making me feel so welcome in this comm :-D

Oh please do feel free to disagree with me. It's always fun to hear other people's opinions, and when it comes to my two posts in this comm, they were deliberately exaggerated to make a point, so I might even agree completely with how you disagree with me ;-)
