Thank you for the rec. It must be an awesome vid, I've seen a lot of people mention it! :-D

However, I'm writing these linkspams to promote White Collar content on dreamwidth, so I've decided not to link to content which isn't posted here.

It would be great if you or someone would make a post with recs of content posted elsewhere and post it to this comm.

I think a weekly news round-up for all of the fandom here on white_collar would be very nice to have, and I'm willing to do the coding and organize the links. But it's only practical for me to look for material on dreamwidth, and I would have to depend on people to send me links for material on other sites. Maybe a few people would be willing to have each their own little watchlist and compile links for me?

Depending on what neekabe decides to do, I'll give it a try next week and see if there's any interest on this comm.

(You all can comment right now and tell me if you want this newsletter thingy, and if any of you would be willing to watch a few journals/comms/sites for new White Collar content.)

Yesterday when I was feeling cranky about LJ, I made a feed for the white collar fic comm, if anyone wants to follow that comm from here.

Personally I like the idea of keeping down the comm proliferation on DW. If the mods here and neekabe are happy with the idea, I think a round up here is best. Links to fic on the AO3 are easy enough to get, I would happily produce those.

I have to say I like the idea of including the fic summary where possible, and also linking to unrated fics which a lot of newsletters won't do.

Excellent! That feed will make it easy to find a lot of the fic posted to LJ ^_^

I'm feeling cranky about LJ as well, not only because of the ads, but also because half the time the pages won't load for me.

I also prefer the idea of having a one-stop place for White Collar here on dw, instead of half a dozen different comms. I'll continue rounding up dw links to the best of my ability, you can collect the ao3 links (yay!), and if it's okay with neekabe I'll at least link to the LJ fic from the feed you made, and whatever recs and links I stumble over, and of course everything other users feel like collecting and sending my way!

Oh, and thank you for commenting on the newsletter format. I like the summaries as well, and I hope that as long as I use plenty of cuts people won't feel they're too long to scroll past. As for rating, I like being as inclusive as possible, and people can decide for themselves if they're willing to risk clicking a link without a rating ^_~

This is essentially what I was thinking of doing. I play well with others, so if you want minions to watch comms or to share off I'm fine with that. As has been said, it's not like it's going to be too onerous to keep caught up right now.

Oooh, I'd love to have you as my minion, lol. It'd be great to have some back-up in case I'm unable to do the newsletter or to have someone to share off with, and any and all links you'd be willing to round up would be very welcome. I plan on watching dw, facetofcathy will watch ao3, so that just leaves the rest of the internet for you ^_~

I'll put a watch list at the bottom of the newsletter, so people know what we'll automatically include. Let me know which comms you plan to watch/are watching anyway, and I'll list them.

I'm all for posting a weekly round-up here, especially as it's not exactly high traffic (yet!), and it would make no sense to multiply the comms.

In fact, have a new tag: !newsletter :)

I'm going to make a round-up of the comms on LJ, and ask whether there'd be any interest in making feeds for all of them, too. Too bad AO3 doesn't have a RSS feed for the latest fics in any fandom (though I'm going to suggest it).
