We're trying some new automation techniques this week. Since we got no response to our call for new volunteers we figured out a way to automate some of the bookmark collection. The links to fanfiction.net and the AO3 are pulled from the feeds those sites provides.
Fanfiction.net links are exactly as produced, but the AO3 links required a little editing. I'm not sold on the formatting the AO3 links have as is, and the automation is not saving a lot of time. Please weigh in in comments, is this formatting working for you?
We could still really use some help, particularly from someone familiar with fanfiction.net culture. The links have to be tagged with an appropriate pairing tag and I may have erred to far over on calling everything a Neal/Peter story when they might be gen friendship stories. Tagging the ff.net bookmarks now takes about 15 minutes per week. Yes, really, that's all. Even with a cat on your lap.
